Nebenzia’s remarks came on Tuesday after his country vetoed the draft resolution.
He made it clear that the West uses the cross-border aid mechanism to provide support to terrorists in Idleb, stressing that Russia will only support its draft resolution and there will be no technical extension.
“The only way out of the deadlock is by supporting our draft, which was put to a vote after the Swiss one and offers practical measures to improve the cross-border aid mechanism,” Nebenzia stressed.
Earlier on the day, Russia vetoed a Western draft resolution in the UN Security Council that violates Syria’s sovereignty under the pretext of cross-border aid delivery.
