Eight countries have now joined the US in announcing they are suspending or reviewing their donations to the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees UNRWA.
They are:
Australia
Canada
Finland
Germany
Italy
The Netherlands
Switzerland
United Kingdom
Two countries have said they plan to continue supporting UNRWA. They are:
Ireland
Norway
Meanwhile, Iceland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Iceland welcomed UNRWA Chief Philippe Lazzarini’s “swift investigation” into “serious allegations against several UNRWA staff members” and that “UNRWA’s crucial work under the current dire circumstances must continue”.
