Donald Trump said he would meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in New York on Friday, September 27.
"As you know, President Zelensky has asked to meet with me and I will be meeting with him tomorrow around 9:45 in Trump Tower," Trump told reporters. "And it's a shame what's happening in Ukraine, so many deaths, so much destruction, it's a horrible thing."
Zelensky presented a so-called "victory" plan to President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris during a meeting at the White House, with Mr Biden announcing a new military aid package worth nearly $8 billion for a struggling Ukraine.
Standing with Mr Zelensky at her side, Ms Harris did not mention Mr Trump by name but said there were "some in my country who would instead force Ukraine to give up large parts of its sovereign territory."
