The Jordanian military is redeploying its forces along the Hashemite
Kingdom’s lengthy border with Syria in light of the deteriorating
security situation on the frontier, the London-based Arab-language
newspaper Al-Hayat reported on Monday.
The newspaper quotes Jordanian sources as saying that the military high command has ordered all of its officers who are normally stationed along the frontier with Syria to cut short their vacations.
According to Al-Hayat, the Jordanian military has also beefed up the presence of commando units along the border.
