The return of the Guantanamo Bay will be among the several major topics that the Cuban government expects to discuss with the United States in their talks, Cuban First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel said Sunday.
Another topic the Cuban government wants to discuss is US hostile broadcasting against Cuba, Diaz-Canel told the press after casting his vote for municipal elections.
The two sides should also discuss compensation for the Cuban people for the human and economic damage caused by the US blockade, he added.
He also commented on the possibility that the US Congress may block an earlier decision by US President Barack Obama to remove Cuba from the list of "state sponsors of terrorism."
"A country that sends health staff instead of soldiers to international conflicts to solve people's problems is not a terrorist country. It was unjust that they maintained us in that list," he said.
